Video recording | Transcript In the past EuroDIGs, experts and community members agreed that there should be a limit to the number of hours a child spends online. We discussed digital addiction. We discussed mental wellbeing and attempted to find a balance between living life in the real world and spending time online. We thought we had found the right balance. The COVID19 Pandemic has exploded these limits: people have been prompted to spend more time online and less time outside. Limits set on «screen use» by young people have been exceeded because of online teaching. Increased online information consumption has exposed them to an increased offering of misinformation, inappropriate content and cyber risks. Are we turning them... and us, into cyber addicts?
